 BrochureI recently had the opportunity to work with the Audubon Society of Greater Denver (ASGD). They asked me to create a brochure for walkers and hikers visiting their Nature Trail in the Audubon Center at Chatfield State Park. I created a brochure based on notable sites on the trail. This information is also available as a flyer and as QR codes that can be scanned with a smart phone at markers on the trail. |  ProposalWorking with the Audubon Society of Greater Denver, I was given the opportunity to write a grant proposal. ​The proposal I produced was requesting funding for service learning projects offered by ASGD. Wildlife and volunteering are subjects that I feel strongly about, so it was a pleasure to write this proposal for the ASGD. |  User ManualIt's not uncommon for writers, especially technical writers, to create procedures or user manuals. For a technical writing class, I created an Introductory Guide to ACCESS. This manual has been put to work in the real world in my office to help train new users on the basics of ACCESS 2007. |

The review features technical and practical features of the cellular phone. |  Magazine ArticleIn addition to writing a person profile and a Q & A article, I also wrote a "Slice of Life" piece for a magazine writing course. This "slice" profiles a tattoo shop located in the Washington Park area of Denver. After spending a day at the shop and interviewing artists and clients, I was able to see a world that is unique to itself and different from the everyday life of suburban Americans. |
