Anyone familair with elearning is also familair with the idea of gamification. Gamification is the practice of using video game techniques to motivate learning. It's not necessarily a new concept, but it is gaining a lot of traction in blended learning environments. Interestingly, it also being applied to employee 401(k) plans. An article published on benefitspro.com discusses how gamification is being used to motivate employees to invest in their 401(k).
The article states, "Think about the actions we want encourage employees to take. We want them to save early. We want them to save often. We want them to save more. We want them to invest properly. We want them to avoid leakage...we want them to take responsibility for their own success by making all the right decisions along the way.
