Title of blog entry & Date: Your Brain on Bass: The Benefits of Music in eLearning February 9, 2015

  • http://elearningmind.com/your-brain-benefits-from-music-in-elearning/ (Links to an external site.)

  • Contributor's name & short bio: Andrew Fayad - There actually wasn't really a bio about the author. From looking at the site though, he has contributed many eLearning related articles to the eLearningmind.com website. His posts are geared more toward corporate training then k-12, but are pretty open-ended in that the focus on eLearning applications, LMSs, current eLearning trends, etc.

  • Summary of what you learned from the blog entry: This blog entry is short and sweet about incorporating music into your eLearning modules. It talks about the science behind why playing an instrument is beneficial to your brain (there is a link to a ted-ed video in there if you're interested). And he discusses how simply adding music to your modules can liven them up and increase the effectiveness of your training/teaching as the music adds another element to help cue memory and draw the learner's attention.
