Lessons from MY Webinar

Yesterday I recorded my very first webinar. I used the tool Zoom, and I presented on the topic of using ebudde, the Girl Scout Cookie Management software. Overall, I would say it was a positive and valuable experience.
Looking back on it today, theses are the lessons I learned:
1. I should have prepared more. Even though I had practiced many times, I never practiced with live participants, and that extra pressure of having actual people there definitely made a difference. I think my nervous level would have been lowered a notch if I had done one practice run with a real person.
2. I was getting over a cold and had a lingering cough...knowing this, I should have sucked on a cough drop before beginning my webinar. My throat was killing me!
3. Establish a means of communication. My webinar participants were fabulous and very helpful with nodding yes or no when asked questions, but I think it would be a good idea to give more direction about how to communicate with me BEFORE beginning the webinar.
