Top Factors in eLearning

There are so many factors that can help make a successful eLearning experience. Now that I've taken a few courses in Instructional Design, I've identified three factors that I find to be the most important.

Relevance

Ease of Use

Adaptability

I think my overall perspective about what makes an effective eLearning has remained pretty much the same since starting my graduate program. I've always felt that relevance is the biggest factor for a course (any course) to be successful. If the material isn't relevant, students will not learn! For eLearning, I think it's hugely important that the learning tool be easy to learn and navigate, so that the user does not get frustrated and ultimately give up. And, as times and people change, it's vital that a course be adaptable to these changes, so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.
