Craig Weiss is very knowledgeable and well known in the e-learning industry, and has held numerous positions in the field. He was named "the most influential person in the for e-learning" in 2015. His blog, "E-Learning 24/7," covers topics from design, strategy, learning management systems, e-learning in k-12, higher ed, and corporate settings, and general e-learning news.
- I found this particular blog entry to be very helpful. I'm not yet experienced in this field at all, and this entry offered easy to understand of how exactly WHAT an e-learning strategy is and how to go about creating one. He gives ideas about how to figure out your target audience, what tools you will need, how it will be implemented, and a basic guide for how to outline a budget. I am big fan of keeping things short and sweet, and his suggestion for designing an e-learning strategy is very concise, which I appreciate. However, to offer a criticism, the entry was not very well written. There were definitely some grammar mistakes, and even though I found the blog helpful, bad writing always bugs me.
